Joe Rez
Chelsea roots. Harvard training. Public-defense experience. Joe built his practice around the belief that every person deserves to be seen beyond a charge, injury, or claim number.

The person behind the practice
Joe Rez was raised in Chelsea, Massachusetts. His path carried him from Chelsea Public Schools to Harvard College, the White House, and Harvard Law School—but the purpose stayed consistent: use words, preparation, and advocacy to give people a voice when powerful institutions define the story for them.
As a public defender, Joe represented people in the moments when liberty, family, work, and reputation were all at risk. Today, Joe Rez Law brings that same urgency and humanity to criminal defense and personal injury clients across Massachusetts.
Joe built the practice to stay close to the people he represents. That means plain-English answers, a strategy shaped around the client's actual life, and respect for the fact that most people calling a lawyer are dealing with a situation they never expected.
“The facts deserve investigation. The government deserves scrutiny. The client deserves a lawyer who will stand beside them.”
Joe’s advocacy style is direct and personal. Clients hear what is happening, why it matters, and what comes next. In the courtroom, that communication becomes a clear theory of the case built from evidence—not assumptions.
